Plano is a popular city in the northeast region of Texas. Plano is a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex. A majority of Plano lies in Collin County while the rest is in Denton County.

In the 1840s, European settlers came to this area. The store, sawmill, and gristmill here brought more people. Soon, a community developed and mail service was started.
